3D Printed Woodblock

This was my first experiment with digitally fabricated instruments and parametric design. The woodblock design is created using code I wrote with OpenSCAD. The code allows you to easily change the size of the instrument, the length and width of the slit, etc. There’s also an option to create an open or closed version of the instrument.

This design was intended as a proof-of-concept rather than a functioning woodblock or temple block. There’s plenty left to do to refine the sound and functionality of the instrument (e.g. tuning, mount for hardware).
