Miolina Premieres A Long Line of Clouds…
Violin duo Miolina (Lynn Bechtold and Mioi Takeda) will premiere my piece A Long Line of Clouds Just Above the Trees in a concert Monday March 28 at the Moody Recital Hall in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The work is for violin duo with live electronics. It was created with the support of the Collaborative Arts Research Initiative (CARI) at the University of Alabama. We workshopped the piece during a Summer 2021 residency at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute in New Hampshire.
Also on the program are compositions by Lynn Bechtold Cecilia Franke, Mark Lackey, Jessica Meyer, Alvin Singleton and Geni Skendo.
